Digital Citizenship Week

Next week, October 21 - 25, is Digital Citizenship Week, championed by Common Sense Media, a non-profit advocacy group for responsible media, along with Google, Cable in the Classroom, BrainPOP, CyberWise, and others.  Common Sense Media offers a variety of curriculum materials for all K-12 levels.  You can also find some excellent materials from Google about using YouTube responsibly and Digital Citizenship.  Understanding digital citizenship is a critical skill for teens today given the 'always online' world we live in.  If it can work into your plans for the week, I encourage you to consider some focus on Digital Citizenship or responsible digital practice.  Here are some additional resources, courtesy of Edutopia.
