SATs, Khan Academy and College Board

At our faculty meeting on Monday, Jane Wiggin had spoke about the new partnership of College Board and Khan Academy for SAT prep courseware and tutorials.

College Board is also committed to significant content changes in the 2016 SATs.

for SAT prep on Khan's official SAT Practice website for the 2016 SATs.  The current practice site is geared to supporting the SATs as presently conducted.

NPR's Morning Edition also did an interesting story on this same topic. Here's the audio (runs 03:48).

This is another step in the process of incorporating more video tutorials as a mechanism to support remedial instruction, practice and review, independent learning and individualized education plans.

Is our infrastructure (i.e. network and systems) here on campus ready for this?  What happens when 30 or 40 students are simultaneously viewing video instructions, while others are online doing research, writing assignments or preparing presentations?
