Relaunch of the Tech Seminar Series

Last Spring we ran a series of tech seminars on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 until 3:00. Topics were focused  on a specific task or function that could be covered in a 1/2 hour. Overall, it was pretty successful and well attended.

We also had a number of teachers volunteer to lead seminars and that was a big hit!

So we're launching the seminar series again, starting next Tuesday (September 22nd) at 2:30 in Avery Hall computer lab (room 5101).  Ben Polito has generously volunteered to lead two seminars covering the basics of iPass.

Seminar Series Calendar

You can stay up-to-date on what's scheduled for the seminar series by adding the calendar to your calendar view. Click on the calendar on the left to link to it. when it displays, click the '+' sign in the bottom right to add it to your calendar views.

You can also see what applications we're planning to feature in this topic guide.

Just like last year, you can earn in-school PDPs.  After 10 hours, you can receive 10 PDPs.  Some of you have carryover from last year (I kept accurate records) and the 1/2 day training sessions we did in April and May count as well.

If you'd like to volunteer to lead a seminar, please let me know using the form below.  It was a huge help last Spring to have a number of you lead seminars. You will also earn PDPs for leading a seminar - each 1/2 hour earns 1 hr towards PDPs.
